Chapter 14

So much for my family weekend, it was Friday night and it was just Nathan and me. Emma went to Kelly's and Nate stayed with the in-laws. I wasn't complaining. It's what made everyone happy. If they were happy, I was happy.

Nathan had gotten home about six from Naomi's salon and I sure as hell didn't feel like cooking so I ordered us some sushi.

After we ate, I cleaned the kitchen while Nathan finished up a few things in his media room. I tossed the last of the paper towel roll in the trash and headed down to get in some comfy clothes. The girls needed to breathe. I changed, grabbed my laptop, and plopped down on the chaise.

"Alright internets, let's see what sort of cracked out shit you're talking tonight," I said to myself as I clicked on 'Nate-Nation' from my favorites.

"Oh, look at that, little Miss Kookoo Pants is at it again." I chuckled. "I wonder what's in her bucket of crazy today."

I scrolled though the normal haters, lovers, and 'I-dont-carers', who actually do care but strangely enough say they don't. I mean they must care because they're always in the middle of it somehow. I also noticed on my choo-choo train ride through crazy town that the lovers were on the same playing field as the haters. They would go back and forth, arguing over something that either never happened, was never going to happen or they wanted to happen. It was as if they actually knew what went on in our lives. As if they knew Nathan sits in front of the TV while I cook him some gourmet meal, while I hold Nate on my hip with one hand and then serve it to him on the couch after tucking a napkin in his shirt as a bib or some shit like that. As if we are the perfect little couple.

Sometimes it made me laugh. Sometimes it just made me scared. What made them think they knew us at all? Queen Crazy Pants herself Deloony posted all the pics that the paps took of Nathan with everyone at Naomi's salon.

Oh my, but he does look nice in that suit.

I continued to scroll through the pics and stopped at a video that a fan took of Nathan posing and meeting a few fans before going inside the salon. He looked so happy interacting with them. I noticed Evelyn was behind Nathan on the phone pacing back and forth. She said something really loud but I couldn't make out what it was over the noise in the video.

I rewound it a few seconds and turned it up a little. When that didn't work, I tried to read her lips. I could make out, "Knock it the fuck off." I wondered what it was about for like a second, then closed up the laptop and put it to the side.

Why was I watching videos of my man when I could be making videos with my man?

I hopped up and practically skipped down the hall to where my husband was in the 'media' room.
